ACF's 2nd virtual public informational meeting

Apr 16, 2024

ACF to host public informational meeting to discuss the TCP for the DSL

American Conservation Foundation (ACF) will host a virtual public informational meeting to discuss the Texas Conservation Plan (TCP) for the Dunes Sagebrush Lizard (DSL) on April 16, 2024 at 1PM CST via Zoom.

On July 3, 2023, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) published the "Proposed Rule to List the DSL" in the Federal Register. In keeping with the proposed regulatory timeline, ACF anticipates that USFWS will list the DSL as an Endangered Species on or about July 3, 2024. Once the DSL is listed, there will no longer be an opportunity to enroll in the TCP and gain the regulatory benefits of participating in the Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances (CCAA).

ACF invites interested parties to learn more about enrolling in the TCP before the final listing decision.
